Interior decorating with the home decor accent mark on personal style is the heart and soul of my existence. I like to talk about the things in life that bring me joy, but I love to listen to what brings joy to others. When I am passionate about something a conversation is in the making.
Embracing daily life with family, discovering the c’est si bon of good food, lively conversation, and fantastic music in a stylish setting is what my life is all about.
Welcome to Places in the Home- an all things house that make a home a lifestyle kind of place.
A house is where we live, but a home is where we plan, build dreams and showcase personal style.
We welcome family and friends into our home to share in the life and style we create through interior design, interior decorating, well-appointed accessories and home decor accents. The life lived within a home comes alive through personal style and taste.
What started out as an idea ultimately turned into a passion. In 1985 my husband Dave the Builder and I put our money where our hearts were. We began our journey on the road to all things house that make a home by purchasing real estate properties in need of our help. We were flipping when flipping wasn’t cool with only a few thousand dollars and a huge vision- our go big and go home philosophy. Our business moved into residential building, remodeling and my antiques and interior decorating business, Hopefully Classic. Places In The Home is the next chapter in the all things house that make a home story.
A design show and tell for the decorating enthusiast, Places In The Home allows me to share, show, and tell my knowledge and experience of interior decorating, home decor, furnishings, and accessories resources, antique and vintage finds, c’est si bon Southern hospitality, and eat well-travel often recipes and reports. I’ll show you my ideas and tell the story of the life lived within our home. I hope you will show, tell and share yours with me as we welcome style home together.
